SACRED FOREST

The forest is a sacred place that we enter, each in our own way. Some walk quickly for exercise, others walk slowly, in order to sense as much as possible. I often linger to make small drawings. These help me see and feel what is there and sometimes what isn’t obvious. This painting evolved from drawings done with a fountain pen in a small sketchbook. I relied on memory and those sketches for the feeling.
